Selinda Camp is situated on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, a dynamic seasonal channel linking the Linyanti swamps with the Okavango Delta. The floodplains that line the waterway from the Linyanti to the Okavango are home to year round wildlife populations. Whether by 4x4, on foot, or by boat, the camp offers a unique wildlife experience.
One of the more luxurious lodges in the area, Selinda Camp offers nine well-appointed resident tents, each with a four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom highlighted by a stone bathtub. A series of broad decks connect the tents with the lounge and dining area. Both the resident tents and the common areas provide panoramic vistas of the surrounding grasslands. In addition to the game drives, guests can relax while enjoying a dip in the camp’s plunge pool, a massage from the camp’s therapist, or a three-course dinner from the onsite chef.
Of course, the camp’s premiere activities are the morning, afternoon, and nighttime game drives. The game-rich floodplains along the Selinda Spillway are home to high concentrations of grazing antelope, zebra, and buffalo. The region is best known for the large elephant herds that migrate to the Linyanti water sources during the drier winter season. Adventurers often catch lion, cheetah, hyaena, wild dog, and even leopard stalking their prey.
