Halali Camp

Halali Camp

Halali Camp is exactly halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni in Etosha National Park and is beautifully situated beneath shady Mopane trees at the base of a dolomite hill. The camp is surrounded by some of the most popular waterholes in Etosha, and, as the camp is slightly elevated, the view to its own floodlit waterhole is excellent. The waterhole is slightly set away from the main camp activities, making for undisturbed viewing of the comings and goings of the game.

The main buildings house the restaurant, bar, kiosk, shop, and swimming pool.

Halali Camp offers a variety of lodging options, all of which have air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, mosquito netting, tea/coffee station, and mini-fridge. For the budget conscious traveller, there are forty double rooms. Ten one-bedroom bush chalets offer a small patio area, but the ten two-bedroom bush chalets offer an en-suite kitchenette and lounge area. The five premier bush chalets have a queen-sized bed, private garden area, and Jacuzzi. Two family chalets are secluded self-catering units with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, and barbeque area. These units are closest to the waterhole.

Activities while at Halali Camp center around game viewing, whether in your own vehicle or on guided morning and afternoon game drives. Namibia Wildlife Resorts has recently introduced guided night drives, which until recently were not allowed in Etosha.
