Villa Mushara

Villa Mushara

The private and luxurious Villa Mushara is a world apart from the luxury lodges one finds in Africa. Its privacy, location in the heart of the thorn-veld bush of Namibia, proximity to the vastness of the world famous Etosha National Park all combine to make staying here a great experience. Due to its waterholes with year-round water, Etosha allows visitors to see animals going about their lives almost unaffected by you being there.

Villa Mushara consists of two villas that are only eight kilometers from the Von Lindequist gate on the eastern boundary of Etosha. The bush is always rugged, sometimes harsh, but Villa Mushara seems to fit right in with its blend of décor, colors, and textures cleverly designed by Heidrun Diekmann. After a day in Etosha being mesmerized by the herds of game, the different experiences at the waterholes, the tension in the air as one waits to see what will happen next, retreating to Villa Mushara allows one to recharge and refresh.

Each villa has a unique feel to it and has been designed with a classic appeal. The appointments are excellent and each villa’s 140 square meter living area and small private library are unexpected pleasures. Air conditioning is especially wonderful in the heat of the summer, and the mini bar with its comprehensive selection of beverages will satisfy even the most discerning palates. The en-suite bathrooms are finished with brass fittings, stone basins, and stand alone baths. And to top it off, each villa has its own staff, guide, and driver.

The villas are set in a garden and share a common area that consists of lounge, dining area, reception, and swimming pool. This common area is carpeted and furnished with elegant antique armchairs, sofas, and tables. Your meals can be taken in the common area or in the privacy of your villa, and the cuisine - European and African - is highly regarded.

Villa Mushara has a range of activities for visitors to enjoy, including game drives into Etosha, guided walks, bush picnics, and sundowners.
