The friendships that we have fostered through generations have given us a network of partners on the ground that we know we can rely on in any situation. Our varied experiences of the continent and all its nuances equip us with a knowledge base that cannot be gained from travel guides or brochures. Piper & Heath is owned by safari veteran Chris Liebenberg. Chris personally oversees each and every itinerary to ensure the best possible experience. His history is rooted firmly on the African continent.
“As a 12th generation African, I lived Africa tourism. I like to think I helped, in a small way, to shape it into what it is today. In my childhood, I compiled bird identification lists for game reserves. In my teens, I dedicated myself to the anti-poaching mission for the Black Rhinos of Southern Africa. After working in conservation as an animal relocation specialist, I navigated many spheres of the tourism industry. From building and managing lodges, to guiding safaris, to creating custom itineraries for first-time and seasoned guests, I learned from my peers, my guests, the animals, my family and from the continent herself: Africa. I am not a spectator of African life; I am proudly integrated into her past and her future. I look forward to sharing the passion that I have for this continent and assuring that you have the safest and most memorable African experience possible, as I have for countless others.”
