Little Bush Camp

Little Bush Camp

Tucked away deep in the bush lies Little Bush Camp, the most idyllic and intimate of Sabi Sabi’s five-star lodges. In keeping with Sabi Sabi’s trademark of “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” the secluded hideaway perfectly embodies the magic of the “Today” experience. Each of the six elegant suites exudes contemporary African charm, from the genuine artifacts to the rich use of colors, textures, and light.

Intimate feel, luxury furnishings, en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, romantically draped bed, private viewing deck, and heated outdoor spa bath overlooking the riverbed all weave intricately together to provide guests a secluded safari getaway. Little Bush Camp lends itself to exclusive use by a small group with its central lounge, bar, pool, and indoor and outdoor dining areas.

Little Bush Camp lies in the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, a wilderness oasis in South Africa’s impressive Kruger National Park. The “big five” roam freely between the reserve and park, offering safari-goers the experience to view these incredible creatures in their natural environment. In addition to rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo, the area is home to cheetah, wild dog, hyena, over 350 bird species, and over 200 other animal species. With diverse habitat and expansive space to roam, the indigenous wildlife wanders without fear of human intrusion.

Professional game rangers and Shangaan trackers contribute their knowledge and experience to every game drive. Guests marvel at the unmatched opportunities to explore the wild African bushveld during both morning and evening safaris. The twice-daily drives take place in open Land Rovers, while other more intimate opportunities for animal viewing are offered during guided bush walks. Guests also report animals crossing only feet away from their private viewing decks.

In addition to providing the safari trip of a lifetime, the camp’s dedication to conservation is an integral part of its mission. A carefully crafted and constantly updated Habitat Management Plan includes initiatives such as pumping water, clearing encroached grasslands, maintaining roads, eradicating alien species, and disposing of waste-water. In fact, the success of Sabi Sabi’s wetland program won the Imvelo Award for the best practice in conservation. Knowing that their impact on this unspoiled wilderness is extremely minimal, guests can enjoy every moment of their unique safari experience.
