Lake Duluti Lodge

Lake Duluti Lodge

Near a scenic crater outside Arusha lies one of Tanzania’s finest countryside retreats. The luxurious Lake Duluti Lodge seamlessly blends idyllic scenery, mild climate, stunning architecture, and memorable design to produce an unforgettable safari experience. With a strong emphasis on local culture and tradition, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic African rural life as it has been lived for centuries.

Delectable meals feature fresh vegetables and herbs from the lodge’s ample vegetable garden as well as a variety of African favorites. Savor light meals from the lakeshore lounge and other meals in the main dining area, on the deck, or in the swimming pool gardens. Locally sourced coffee and fine wines complement delicious cuisine created by the lodge’s magnificent chefs.

Take a refreshing dip in the large rim-flow swimming pool, complete with relaxing sun loungers scattered around the beautifully landscaped lawn.

Each of the eighteen spacious “kibandas” (chalets) exudes a tranquil yet rejuvenating ambiance. Excellent amenities include king-size, double, or twin beds, mosquito net, mini bar, coffee station, plasma TV, internet connection, digital safe, and en suite bathroom with walk through shower and free-standing bathtub.

With Arusha National Park only 45 minutes away, guest can enjoy easy access to thrilling game drives. Although not as large as other Tanzanian parks (and therefore inhabited by fewer animals), expect sightings of some spectacular wildlife including giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog, black-and-white colobus monkey, blue monkey, flamingo, and more. African elephants and leopards call the area home but are rarely seen; however, birdlife is prolific and includes stunning species such as narina trogon and bar-tailed trogon.

Other unforgettable activities offered at Duluti Lodge include day trip hiking at Mount Meru, canoeing at Lake Duluti, birdwatching in the Duluti Forest, touring coffee and vegetable farms, learning about local life through cultural tourism program, and touring Arusha town.
