Surrounded by some of Africa’s most incredible destinations including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, Onsea House is an ideal choice as a home base for exploring this thrilling region. The house’s unique name “Onsea” is a derivative of the local word for jaguar, one of Tanzania’s most magnificent creatures.

Exuding colonial splendor, the reception areas and guestrooms welcome adventurers from far and near. Both indoor and outdoor dining options abound at Onsea House, whether on the veranda, in the breakfast room, or at various “bandas” scattered around the grounds. A welcoming reception bar offers refreshing drinks, and the private entertainment lounge on the ground floor serves local beers, Belgian beers, and cocktails for guests as they relax and enjoy a game of pool. Enjoy excellent views of nearby Mount Meru while sunbathing and swimming at the sizeable swimming pool.

The Country Inn offers two rooms that open to a shared terrace and boast four-poster bed, sitting area, desk area, and en-suite bath. Comfortably accommodating up to six guests, the self-contained Guest Cottage offers garden and pool views. Tastefully decorated and spacious interiors are sure to provide a relaxing stay for families or groups traveling together.

Full day safari opportunities abound as well as longer expeditions to world-famous destinations like Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, or Serengeti.
