Sussi & Chuma

Sussi & Chuma

Situated along the banks of the Zambezi River, this “tree-house” camp amid the giant ebony trees offers an especially unique Zambian safari experience within Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. Named in honor of David Livingstone’s companions who carried his body back to England after he died in Zambia, Sussi & Chuma is a mere stone’s throw from the breathtaking Victoria Falls. Guests can enjoy the crashing sound of the Falls as they relax in the rustic lodge or take a dip in the pool.

Sussi & Chuma is comprised of 12 tree houses which are connected by wooden walkways to the common area lodge. Each guest lodge is replete with air conditioning, full bath, and private deck with fantastic views of the river. For families or larger groups, there are two additional larger guest houses, with two full bedrooms, private chef, and house staff.

The list of possible activities at this remarkable camp seems almost endless. Game drives, tours of Victoria Falls from both the Zambia and Zimbabwe sides, sundowner cruises, village tours of nearby Nakatindi, spa treatments, Flight of Angels helicopter rides, white water rafting, elephant back safaris, and visits to Livingstone Island are sure to satisfy even the most active adventurer. Along the way, guests may encounter an impressive array of wildlife, including buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, and crocodile.
