Somalisa Acacia

Somalisa Acacia

Hidden deep in western Zimbabwe lies Somalisa Acacia, a spectacular private safari camp located in Hwange National Park. The park, which is Zimbabwe’s largest and most popular, is located between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls and is most famous as a home to 30,000 elephants, although countless other animal species inhabit this rich panorama of acacia woodland and sands.

At Somalisa Acacia, guests will find a truly private retreat for up to 8 guests. This year-round camp is built alongside a gorgeous acacia grove. Accommodations consist of four luxurious canvas tents on raised wooden floors, complete with beautiful furniture and indoor facilities. Amenities include a dining and lounge area, refreshing splash pool, laundry, and a natural and delicious gourmet cuisine unique to Somalisa. Perhaps the most popular feature of the camp is the view of a nearby water hole, which provides excellent game viewing right from camp.

Popular activities include walking excursions and game drives, which provide the perfect opportunity to encounter the prolific wildlife of the park up close. With the help of experienced guides, guests may see any of over one hundred mammal species, such as lions, hyenas, rhinos, or giraffes, and over four hundred species of birds.
